Who and what is Tano Trust?Tano Trust is the Norwegian sponsor of the Moyo Mmoja Trust's projects in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. The organization main objective is to co-develop and finance Moyo Mmoja's activities and to create awarness in Norway about most vulnerable children's situation in Tanzania.
Tano Trust was established in 1999. By the beginning of 2008 we have about 270 private sponsors who contribute to the regularly to the work. Tano Trust was approved by Norad - the norwegian state aid agency - in 2005. The organization was founded on voluntary grounds, now with two part time positions to secure the running, development and cooperation with the Tanzanian sister organization.
The members of the Tano Trust Trust are in charge of their respective areas with their counterparts in the Moyo Mmoja in Tanzania. Together the two organizations develop the project based on Tanzanian tradition and culture combined with best practices at international level

Olav Holten, Daily Manager.
Olav has the main responsibility for the daily running of the norwegian organization. He is the sponsor coordinator and is following-up on the projects in Tanzania. He is a Cand. Philol. with a Masters degree in Philpsophy and is working part time as a social worker. E-mail:Olav@tano.no
Frode Farestveit, Project Coordinator.
Frode has the main responsibility for the development and following-up on the projects in Tanzania. He has a Masters degree in Development studies at the University College of Oslo. His Master Thesis discuss the situation of most vulnerable children in Tanzania. Frode also work part time as a social worker. E-mail: Frode@tano.no
Kristin Adeler, Chairperson of Tano Trust and tanzanian Moyo Mmoja Trust.
Kristin has lived in Tanzania for many years and is the main founder of these organizations. She is a trained nurse working with new borned children at a hospital in Oslo, Norway. E-mail: Kristin@tano.no
Susanne Brovold Hvidsten, Vice Chairperson.
Susanne has a Masters degree in social anthropology. She has done longterm fieldwork at - and thesis about - SOS Children's Villages in Nairobi, Kenya. She is working as a Higher Executive Officer at the norwegian Fredskorpset (New Peace corps) in Oslo, Norway.
